Kocaelispor, one of Türkiye’s long-established football clubs, has completed the permanent signing of Spanish midfielder Mahamadou Susoho from Premier League giants Manchester City.
The 21-year-old has signed a 2.5-year contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2027–2028 season.
Based in Izmit, an industrial city east of Istanbul, Kocaelispor is a historic name in Turkish football and currently competes in the Trendyol Super Lig, the country’s top professional division.
The league brings together Türkiye’s leading clubs and is widely followed across Europe and the Middle East, with increasing visibility among international audiences.
The club confirmed the move through its official account on X, the U.S.-based social media platform.
In its statement, Kocaelispor said a full transfer agreement had been signed with Manchester City, which is registered with the English Football Association, and that the player himself had agreed to a contract running through the 2027–2028 season.
The announcement underlined that the deal was a definitive transfer rather than a temporary loan.
Susoho plays in central midfield and spent the first half of the season on loan at Scottish side Livingston, where he gained senior-level match experience.
