Türkiye’s women’s national volleyball team secured their spot in the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Nations League Finals after a dominant 3-0 victory over the Netherlands in the third week of group-stage action.
The straight-sets win marked a powerful start to the Apeldoorn leg and ensured Türkiye’s place among the elite teams heading to the finals in Poland this July.
The match took place at Omnisport Arena in Apeldoorn, with Türkiye displaying their trademark cohesion and firepower. Playing with high tempo and minimal errors, the Sultans of the Net took control early and never looked back. They claimed the sets 25-19, 25-16, and 25-21.
Key contributions came from Zehra Gunes at the net, Melissa Vargas with her powerful attacks, and libero Gizem Orge in reception. Setter Dilay Ozdemir ensured smooth transitions throughout the game, while Yaprak Erkek and Yasemin Guveli provided additional depth from the bench.
With this win, Türkiye officially punched their ticket to the VNL Finals, which will be held in Poland from July 23–27. It will mark another opportunity for the reigning VNL champions to defend their title on the global stage.
The team’s second match of week 3 will take place on Friday at 9:30 p.m., when they face Czechia.
