Blinken to visit Ankara for talks on Syria: Türkiye Today sources

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is set to visit Türkiye's capital, Ankara, on Thursday or Friday, for talks on Syria and potential steps toward resolving hostilities between U.S.-backed forces and Ankara, according to Türkiye Today sources.

The U.S. is closely monitoring developments in the region. In their previous discussions, Blinken and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan addressed various aspects of the conflict, with the issue of the YPG/PKK terrorist organization expected to be part of the upcoming talks.

Fidan reiterated that Türkiye will never allow terrorist organizations to exploit the situation in Syria. He also emphasized the importance of Syria’s territorial integrity and political unity, underscoring Türkiye’s commitment to regional stability and security.
