In a large-scale operation named "Kalkan-29," the Turkish Interior Ministry reported that 242 irregular migrants were apprehended in Istanbul's Esenyurt district.
The operation was coordinated by the Directorate General of Migration Management and the Istanbul Provincial Police Department.
