Turkish Deputy FM Serim meets with German officials in Berlin

Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Yasin Ekrem Serim conducted a series of high-level meetings in Berlin on Thursday and Friday. His visit included consultations with Turkish Consuls General, discussions with German officials, and engagements with representatives of the Turkish community in Germany. The agenda focused on preparations for the UEFA Euro 2024 Championship, migration cooperation, and issues related to visas and asylum.

Consultation meeting with Consuls General in Berlin

On Thursday in Berlin, Deputy FM Yasin Ekrem Serim held a consultation meeting with Turkish Consuls General serving in Germany. The meeting focused on preparations for the security and well-being of the Turkish national team and citizens during the UEFA Euro 2024 Championship, as well as efforts regarding citizenship applications under the new German Citizenship Law.

Meeting took place with German Federal Ministry of Interior

On Thursday, Deputy Minister Serim met with Hans Georg Engelke, State Secretary of the German Federal Ministry of Interior. Discussions included the security of the Turkish national team and citizens during Euro 2024, cooperation in the field of migration, and issues concerning visas and asylum.

Meeting with NGO Representatives of the Turkish Community in Berlin

At the Turkish Embassy in Berlin, Serim met with representatives of Turkish NGOs in Germany on Thursday. The meeting addressed issues and potential solutions for the Turkish community.

On Friday Serim met with Susanne Baumann, State Secretary of the German Federal Foreign Office, in Berlin. The discussion covered issues such as visas, migration, and asylum.
