According to the latest "Türkiye Report" by Istanbul Ekonomi Arastirma, Mansur Yavas, mayor of Türkiye's capital city Ankara, has been rated the most successful politician in Türkiye. Meanwhile, the report revealed a widening gap between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and opposition leader Ozgur Ozel, with Erdogan maintaining a significant lead.
The survey asked respondents to rate several politicians on a scale of one to 10, with one meaning "very unsuccessful" and 10 meaning "very successful." The results showed the following rankings:

Mansur Yavas in 1st place
- Mansur Yavas topped the list with a score of 5.4.
- Ekrem Imamoglu, mayor of Istanbul, followed with 4.8.
- Recep Tayyip Erdogan came next with 4.7.
- Ozgur Ozel scored 4.
- Devlet Bahceli, the nationalist leader, received 3.6, while Mahmut Arikan, Turkisk MP, scored the lowest with 2.3.
These results reflect changing public perceptions of Turkish politicians. Yavas has risen in popularity, while Ekrem Imamoglu, the mayor of Istanbul, remains popular but ranks below Yavas.
Key observations
- Devlet Bahceli maintained a consistent score of 3.6, despite his recent controversial comments about terrorist ringleader Abdullah Ocalan.

- Fatih Erbakan, the New Welfare Party leader, and Umit Ozdag, the anti-migration Victory Party leader, are close behind Bahceli, with a small gap between them.
- Ozgur Ozel, who had briefly surpassed Erdogan in ratings in recent months, has seen the gap widen in Erdogan’s favor, with Erdogan’s approval increasing.
This suggests that while some opposition figures have gained popularity, Erdogan continues dominating, especially over Ozel.
