The United States, continuing its support for Israel’s actions in Gaza, has approved the sale of tank trailers and related equipment worth $164.6 million.
The U.S. Department of State announced that it has authorized the sale of heavy-duty tank trailers and associated equipment for military use, following a request from the Israeli government.
The announcement stated that the State Department approved the sale of these items, with a total value of $164.6 million, and sent the necessary certification to Congress.
The delivery is expected to begin in 2027. The sale includes not only the heavy-duty tank trailers but also spare and repair parts, tools and driver kits, technical documentation, and logistical program support.
The approval of this sale comes at a time when there are discussions about initiating an independent investigation into the killing of Turkish-American activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi in the occupied West Bank and calls for halting military aid to Israel.
