John Mariani

John Mariani is an author and journalist who began his writing career at New York Magazine in 1973. He later served as Esquire’s food and travel correspondent and as wine critic for Bloomberg News. A three-time nominee for the James Beard Journalism Award, he is the author of several influential books on American and Italian food culture, including “The Dictionary of American Food and Drink” and “How Italian Food Conquered the World.”
