Assoc.Prof. Dr. Sebnem Udum is a Faculty Member in the Department of International Relations in Hacettepe University (Ankara/Türkiye). She holds a BSc. in International Relations and a minor degree in International Economics from the Middle East Technical University, as well as an MA in International Policy Studies and Certificate in Nonproliferation Studies from the Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS). She holds another MA and a PhD in International Relations from Bilkent University. She is affiliated with the International Atomic Energy Agency's International Nuclear Security Education Network (INSEN) since 2013, where she served as the Network Chair in 2018-2019 term. Her research areas include nuclear nonproliferation, nuclear energy, nuclear security, energy security and Turkish foreign and security policy.
