Europe’s cleanest engine to hit market by 2025, TUMOSAN director says

Türkiye's leading tractor and engine manufacturer, TUMOSAN’s Group Director of Technology and Engineering, Volkan Gun, announced Europe’s cleanest engine-certified Phase-5 tractor engines with a 97% localization rate to release on the market in 2025.

"We will position ourselves as a manufacturer of the most eco-friendly engine with low carbon emissions that meet European standards," Gun highlighted.

TUMOSAN has been working on various initiatives regarding their engines to comply with the new regulations introduced this year.

Gun stated that they focused on developing their S8000 series engines, which were featured last year, used primarily in tractors, range between 48 and 105 horsepower and feature 3- and 4-cylinder configurations.

“At TUMOSAN, we can produce engines ranging from 48 to 125 horsepower. We plan to increase this to 140 horsepower,” Gun pointed out.

Gun also emphasized TUMOSAN’s leading position in Türkiye’s engine production sector, noting that the localization rate encompasses components such as transmissions, drivetrains and subsystems.
