Passenger traffic at Istanbul, Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen, and Antalya airports exceeded 93.6 million in the first seven months of the year, accounting for two out of every three travelers in Türkiye.
According to data compiled from the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMI), total passenger traffic at Turkish airports reached 134.95 million from January to July, up 3.6% compared to the same period last year.
Istanbul Airport, continuously breaking daily passenger and flight records, remained the country’s busiest hub, serving 9.95 million domestic and 37.81 million international passengers for a total of 46.95 million travelers.
Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen Airport handled 11.69 million domestic and 14.81 million international passengers, totaling 26.5 million travelers.
Antalya Airport, serving one of Türkiye’s top tourism destinations, was the third-busiest airport, hosting 3.83 million domestic passengers and 16.35 million international passengers, totaling 20.18 million travelers.
Combined, the three airports accounted for 93.64 million passengers from January to July, highlighting their role in handling two-thirds of the country’s air travelers.
