Russia’s state nuclear corporation, Rosatom, signed a comprehensive cooperation program with Egypt’s Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, the company announced.
The program aims to reinforce the strategic partnership between the two countries by expanding economic cooperation and increasing joint work between relevant institutions in Russia and Egypt.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli.
Rosatom Director General Aleksey Likhachev and Egypt’s Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mahmud Esmat signed the document.
Under the program, the two sides will focus on creating a sustainable platform for long-term partnership, experience sharing, and strengthening scientific and technical cooperation.
Likhachev said Russia and Egypt have been steadily deepening their economic ties.
“Both countries are creating infrastructure for technological expertise exchange and production localization,” he said.
He added that these efforts will contribute to increased investment, job creation and improved competitiveness, expressing confidence that the cooperation program will form a solid foundation for new initiatives and help unlock the full potential of bilateral cooperation.
