Turkish companies are exploring opportunities to invest in the Argentine town of Saladillo, which is moving ahead with plans to establish a special industrial zone, according to the Turkish media.

Located in Buenos Aires Province and home to 35,000 residents, Saladillo aims to draw foreign capital and generate jobs through a new industrial park project.

Feasibility studies advanced, land acquisitions planned

Local officials confirmed that preparations for land acquisition have advanced, while feasibility studies conducted by an industrial park development company found the town’s planning regulations and energy infrastructure favorable for investment.

The project is expected to attract a range of companies and create new employment opportunities in the city.

According to business-focused patronlardunyasi.com, talks subjecting the proposed investment were held in the Argentine capital last week, facilitated through the Uruguayan Embassy and supported by Guillermo Valin, Ambassador of the World Student Organization and former Director of Foreign Trade for the Municipality of Lanus.

Participants included Ozgur Yucel Demir, President of the Argentina–Türkiye Chamber of Commerce, and Matias Leyes, Commercial Director of Buona Aira.
