Istanbul-based fashion retailer Koton has opened its first corporate store in Abha, a city in southwest Saudi Arabia, as part of its broader expansion strategy across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

The store, located in Rashid Mall, spans a total area of 977 square meters, making it the company’s largest store by floor space in the Gulf to date.

Saudi Arabia joins Koton’s Gulf portfolio

The company described the opening as a step aligned with its strategic growth plan in the Gulf, where it already maintains stores in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, and Qatar. With the addition of Saudi Arabia, Koton now operates in five countries across the region.

In a filing to the Public Disclosure Platform on Monday, Koton stated that preparations are underway to enter the Kuwaiti market in the near future, further strengthening its footprint in the GCC. The company expressed expectations that these developments will contribute positively to its international operations.
