The number of Turkish migrants in Greece has risen to 10,934, making them the 10th largest migrant community in the country, according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Migration and Asylum.
Turks also rank second in Greece’s Golden Visa program, with 2,449 residence permits, following Chinese investors.
As of July 31, 2025, Greece hosts a total of 901,536 legal migrants, of whom 264,699 are citizens of EU member states. Another 508,499 are third-country nationals.
The largest group of third-country nationals remains Albanians (268,964), followed by Chinese, Pakistanis, Georgians, Bangladeshis, Russians, Ukrainians, Egyptians and Filipinos.
Turks are ranked 10th, representing 2.2% of all third-country nationals.
Officials noted that the gender balance among Turkish migrants is relatively even, similar to Albanians and Chinese.
Beyond overall migration numbers, Turks are also highly active in the Golden Visa program, which grants residency rights in return for real estate investment.
According to the Ministry of Migration and Asylum, 2,449 Turks hold Golden Visas, placing them second behind Chinese nationals.
In total, Greece has issued 23,221 Golden Visas. Including family members, more than 65,000 people currently reside in the country under the scheme as investors or dependents.
