Antalya Airport, the primary gateway to the Turkish Riviera, served 39.16 million passengers in 2025. This milestone comes as Türkiye’s aviation sector reports record-breaking nationwide growth, according to the latest official data from the State Airports Authority.

The Mediterranean hub capped off the year with a busy December, processing nearly 1.1 million travelers. This year-end figure included approximately 572,000 international passengers and over half a million domestic travelers.

Antalya Airport is located 13 kilometers (8.08 miles) northeast of the city center and operates with three terminals. To meet the rising demand of the Mediterranean coast, the facility recently underwent significant expansions.

The airport can now handle over 65 million passengers annually. This increased capacity allows the hub to remain a central driver for tourism in the region, providing more room for the millions of international visitors who arrive each summer.

Beyond passenger travel, the airport also managed a substantial logistics load. Official figures show that cargo traffic reached 466,130 tons during 2025.

The growth in Antalya mirrors a broader upward trend across the country. In 2025, Türkiye’s aviation sector reached an all-time high, with nationwide passenger numbers surpassing 247 million.

Key highlights from the 2025 aviation data include:

  • National record: Total passengers across all Turkish airports exceeded 247 million.
  • Istanbul dominance: Istanbul Airport remains the nation's busiest hub, handling 84.4 million passengers—roughly one-third of the country's total traffic.
  • Antalya’s role: With over 39 million travelers, Antalya cements its status as the second most critical terminal for the country’s tourism industry.

These figures confirm that Türkiye’s air travel infrastructure is successfully scaling to meet post-pandemic demand and the continued popularity of the Turkish Riviera among foreign tourists.
