Türkiye’s automotive industry exported $27.2 billion in the first eight months of the year, reaching its highest January-August performance of all time.

According to data compiled by Turkish news agency Anadolu from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), Türkiye’s total exports rose 4% in January-August compared with the same period last year, reaching $185.006 billion.

The automotive industry, one of Türkiye’s leading export sectors, maintained its strong foreign sales performance in the eight months despite difficulties in global trade, fluctuating demand conditions and supply chain disruptions caused by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

The sector exported $27.2 billion in January-August, up 2.5% compared with the same period last year.

The automotive industry’s share in Türkiye’s total exports during the period was calculated at 14.7%.
