On Nov. 21-22, Türkiye E-Commerce Week will gather the country’s fast-growing digital trade ecosystem under one roof at Istanbul Lutfi Kirdar Congress Center, with a $90 billion market framing the conversation.

Nationwide ecosystem meets to rethink trade

Organized by the Ministry of Trade with support from ETID (E-Commerce Operators Association) and TOBB Türkiye E-Commerce Council, and with Anadolu Agency (AA) as Global Communication Partner, the event aims to bring marketplaces, SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises), logistics and payments firms, investors, entrepreneurs and academics together to map out the next decade of online commerce in Türkiye.

Policy vision highlights production and exports

Cagatay Yasin Karaboga, Head of the Ministry’s Electronic Commerce Department, underscored the sector’s strategic role, noting that Türkiye now “not only consumes but also produces and exports its digital infrastructure.”

He said e-commerce, with a volume exceeding $90 billion, directly supports growth, jobs, and exports, and that the week will “consolidate both the sector’s vision and its global competitiveness,” with a focus on a fair, sustainable, and inclusive ecosystem.

Private sector looks to next decade

ETID Chair Hakan Cevikoglu called e-commerce the economy’s new growth engine.

He said the gathering will go beyond showcasing Türkiye’s digital trade strength to become a platform that shapes ideas for the next 10 years, stressing that the country’s e-export potential keeps strengthening and that the sector intends to remain at the center of this transformation.

Program tracks link technology and behavior

Panels will walk through “AI-Transformed Commerce,” “Behavioral Science and the Consumer Mind,” “Sustainable Digital Trade,” and “Fintech Innovations,” connecting technology adoption with practical outcomes in sales, operations, and finance.

Matching startups with markets and corporates

Under S2B (Startup to Business) meetings, startups will meet investors and brands to spark partnerships, while S2C (Startup to Corporate) sessions will help young firms plug into established companies’ needs.

The “Digital Minds and Future Factory” zone will host young entrepreneurs, universities, and technopark projects.

Hands-on learning and data-driven insight

Attendees will try out AI workshops, entrepreneurship games, and innovative training modules that simulate new-generation commerce models.

A “Future Minds” area will offer applied content on digital campaign design, user experience, and data analytics.

A “Digital Commerce Monolith” will visualize real-time indicators from the e-commerce ecosystem, allowing visitors to keep a close eye on the pulse of the digital economy.

The Türkiye E-Commerce Awards will spotlight the pioneers of digital transformation, honoring the most innovative ventures alongside women entrepreneurs and sustainable brands.
