Türkiye recorded a 2.61% year-over-year increase in foreign tourist arrivals in November 2025, with 2.8 million international visitors entering the country, according to data released by the Culture and Tourism Ministry.
On an annualized basis, the total foreign arrivals in Türkiye were recorded at 53.5 million, the figures showed.
The Russian Federation and Germany remained the top two source countries for visitors to Türkiye in November, both recording notable increases from the same month last year. Visitor numbers from Russia rose by 10.25%, while arrivals from Germany increased by 9.93%. Iran ranked third among the most frequent source countries during the month.
Istanbul accounted for more than half of all foreign entries to Türkiye in November, receiving over 1.46 million visitors, or 52.1% of the monthly total. It also remained the leading gateway during the January–November period with 17.48 million arrivals, followed by Antalya with 15.75 million and Edirne, Mugla, and Izmir completing the top five.
Türkiye welcomed approximately 50.06 million foreign visitors in the first 11 months of 2025, a marginal year-on-year increase of 0.03% that indicates stabilization after two years of strong recovery from pandemic-related disruptions.
In 2024, Türkiye ranked fourth globally in international tourism arrivals, hosting 52.62 million foreign visitors and generating $61.1 billion in revenue. Despite the moderate pace of growth this year, tourism remains a vital pillar of the country’s broader economic strategy.
