Türkiye welcomed 5,683,717 foreign visitors in October 2025, marking a 4.32% increase compared to the same month last year, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced.
According to Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Germany and the Russian Federation were the leading source countries, with visitor numbers rising 6.20% and 11.44%. The United Kingdom ranked third among countries sending tourists to Türkiye.
Germany and Russia ranked as the top two source markets in October, followed by the United Kingdom.
Despite the strong performance in October, foreign visitor arrivals in the first ten months of 2025 showed a slight 0.12% decrease compared to the same period in 2024.
During this period, Türkiye hosted 47,252,314 foreign visitors out of a total 55,676,237 overall visitors.
For the January–October 2025 period, Türkiye hosted a total of 55,676,237 visitors, of whom 47,252,314 were foreign nationals, representing a slight 0.12% decrease compared to the same period in 2024. During this period, Istanbul and Antalya remained the most visited provinces, accounting for 33.89% and 32.46% of foreign arrivals respectively.
Minister Ersoy highlighted that 96.20% of foreign visitors came for culture, sightseeing, and leisure purposes, underlining Türkiye’s continued appeal as a global tourism destination.
“Türkiye maintains its strong position in international tourism through its diverse visitor profile, wide range of tourism offerings, and growing global brand value,” Ersoy stated.
