In Türkiye, messaging applications are the top reason for internet use, with 95.5% of Türkiye's internet users connecting through platforms like WhatsApp, Messenger, Skype, Bib, and Viber in the past three months. This data comes from the latest Household Information Technology Usage Survey conducted by the Turkish Statistical Institute.

The surge in internet usage across the country is driven by infrastructure investments and improvements in internet speeds, allowing a broader audience to access and utilize digital technologies. The widespread adoption of smartphones, the rise of social media platforms, video-sharing sites, and growing popularity of digital gaming have particularly captivated the younger generation, leading to increased online engagement.

Beyond messaging, individuals are utilizing the internet for a variety of personal activities, from making voice and video calls to sharing content on social media, sending emails, listening to music, and conducting online banking.
