Türkiye's major appliance sector experienced a decline in exports and domestic sales in August, according to data released by the Turkish White Goods Manufacturers Association (TURKBESD).

The report shows significant drops across key metrics, reflecting the sector's challenging market conditions.

Monthly, annual declines in August

In August, domestic sales of major appliances decreased by 15.3% year-on-year, while exports saw a 4.3% decline.

Production also experienced a significant drop, falling by 13.4% compared to the same month in 2023.

On a monthly basis, domestic sales dropped by 21%, production decreased by 13.1% and exports fell by 2.3% in August.
