1,300-years-old Torah seized in Türkiye
A manuscript Torah thought to be 1,300 years old was seized in Kahramanmaras province of Türkiye
Provincial Gendarmerie command Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch Directorate teams seized a 1300-year-old Torah after they received a tip-off that two suspects were trying to sell a historical artifact.
The Turkish Forces immediately took action and conducted a body search of the suspects arrested in Dulkadiroğlu district. A 1300-year-old historical Torah written on leather was retrieved from the suspects.
The suspects were immediately detained for further interrogation. The investigation into the matter is underway.
