The Film Forum, held as part of the 63rd Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival in the Mediterranean coastal city of Antalya, southern Türkiye, received 269 project applications this year, organizers announced.
The forum, now in its 13th edition, is scheduled for Oct. 26-27, ahead of the wider festival running Oct. 24-31.
According to a statement from the festival's press office, preparations for the event are underway.
Applications for the forum, which brings together young and independent filmmakers, closed with 269 submissions this year, up from 172 last year.
Submissions were distributed across five categories: 10 for the Feature Fiction Film Pitching Platform Sumer Tilmac Nominee category, 16 for the Feature Fiction Film Work in Progress Platform, 167 for the First Feature Film Development Platform, 35 for the Documentary Film Work in Progress Platform, and 41 for the Feature Fiction Film Pitching Platform.
The Film Forum aims to connect new filmmakers' projects with film industry professionals. A total of ₺1.45 million (around $29,650) will be awarded in prizes at the event.
