Eskisehir is hosting the Türkiye Culture Route Festival for the first time from May 16 to 24, bringing concerts, exhibitions, gastronomy events, workshops, children’s programs and stage performances to one of Türkiye’s most dynamic cultural cities.

Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for the sixth time, the festival will add a new stop to its national route by including Eskisehir, a city known for its student population, modern museums, Odunpazari houses and public life shaped around the Porsuk River.

Festival brings Eskisehir’s cultural identity into wider view

Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said Eskisehir stands out with its historical fabric, contemporary approach to art, strong cultural infrastructure and lively urban life.

He said the festival aims to bring the city’s cultural heritage to wider audiences while increasing Eskisehir’s visibility in culture, arts and gastronomy.

Exhibitions link heritage, technology and living traditions

The program will include several exhibitions across the city. At the Eti Archaeology Museum garden, the “Aselsan Advanced Upcycling Vision for the Future” exhibition will bring together art and technology through works created from metal and electronic components.

The museum will also host “Ottoman Sacred Relics,” featuring selected works from major Istanbul museum collections, including calligraphy panels, Kaba coverings, belt fragments and distinguished copies of the Quran.

At the Ataturk Culture and Art Congress Center, “Living Heritage: Eskisehir Exhibition” will present examples of traditional crafts, while “On the Culture Route Toward Yunus” will focus on the legacy of Yunus Emre through costumes, miniature art, calligraphy, illumination, weaving, ceramics and glass works.

Major Turkish performers to take the stage

Concerts will be held at the Turkish World Science, Culture and Art Center. The lineup includes Oguzhan Koc, Sinan Akcil, Levent Yuksel, Haluk Levent, Buray, Poizi, Bengu, Ebru Yasar and Sagopa Kajmer.

The nine-day program is expected to bring together local residents and visitors through a broad cultural schedule that reflects both Eskisehir’s historical background and its modern city life.
