A group exhibition titled "ARKHE: The Womb of Memory and Ancient Thresholds" has brought together art enthusiasts in the Bodrum district of Mugla.
The exhibition, featuring paintings, sculptures and ceramic works by four artists from Mersin, Adana and Istanbul, is being hosted at Boho Gallery.
The exhibition includes 48 works by Seda Sahbaz, Tugba Kucukbahar, Vehbi Mangtay and Nihal Sahin Gol.
Kaan Yigit Karaaslan, project manager of the contemporary art exhibition that brings together artists from different cities on a shared intellectual ground,said that artists who have followed different paths but aimed for the same goal have come together.
"I wrote the exhibition's manifesto based on the coexistence of different ideas at a common point," Karaaslan said.
"Visitors to the exhibition will notice how a common point is reached from multiple perspectives, and how a shared context is found. Memory, remembrance and existence, humanity. In fact, at the most basic level, life is our common ground here." He added
Artist Tugba Kucukbahar said that they transformed works, each created by artists using different materials and themes, into a unified whole under one title.
Kucukbahar, who said they created their works through journeys and readings into the depths of their own existence, added: "Here we all took part as a whole under one perspective. Our works became works that complement one another. We are very happy to exhibit our works together here."
The exhibition can be viewed until Aug. 8.
