Harry Styles cracked a joke about ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift's Madison Square Garden wedding during the third night of his residency at the venue.
Near the end of the show, Styles built up to the joke by praising the venue's recent sports success. "We're at Madison Square Garden, home of the world champion New York Knicks" he told the crowd before adding, "And they also do weddings."
The comment, a reference to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's July 3 wedding at the venue, drew loud cheers from the audience.
Styles and Swift dated from November 2012 to January 2013, a relationship widely believed to have inspired Swift's 2014 hit "Style."

According to Variety, Styles was invited to Swift and Kelce's wedding but could not attend, as he was performing that same night in London on his Together, Together tour. His fiance, Zoe Kravitz, attended the ceremony without him.
The joke came three nights into a residency already generating significant buzz. Styles' 30-show run at Madison Square Garden, which kicked off Aug. 26 and runs through Oct. 31, marks his only U.S. dates this year and the most shows at any venue across his international "Together, Together" tour.
By the end of the residency, Styles will have headlined 52 shows at Madison Square Garden as a solo artist, following a presale that drew 11.5 million ticket registrations in January.
The run surpasses his previous Madison Square Garden showing: 15 consecutive sold-out nights in 2022 as part of his "Love On Tour," which earned him a permanent banner in the venue's rafters.
