Macklemore's benefit concerts in Dublin, Paris and London have sold out, weeks after the rapper was removed from Ed Sheeran's U.S. tour over his pro-Palestinian remarks onstage.
The concerts, billed as "Macklemore and Friends," are set for Dublin's 3Arena on Oct. 26, Paris' Accor Arena on Oct. 29 and London's OVO Arena Wembley on Oct. 30.
Proceeds will go to 12 organizations supporting Palestinians, including Gaza Soup Kitchen, Medical Aid for Palestinians and the Palestine Children's Relief Fund.
Details on which artists will appear alongside the rapper are still to come, with lineups expected soon.
Macklemore announced the news in a social media post on Wednesday, saying he was overwhelmed by the response.
"I’m honestly blown away. We put these shows together fast and in community, believing that musicians can stand in solidarity with Palestine, use the stage to raise funds and show what collective action can look like. When those in power try to silence our calls for liberation, art will always be a form of resistance."
Macklemore was removed from Sheeran's Loop Tour after he called for a "Free Palestine" during his opening set at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sept. 4.
Macklemore has accused Gillette Stadium owner Robert Kraft of pressuring Sheeran's team. Kraft has cited what he called antisemitic rhetoric and imagery in Macklemore's performances.
Sheeran has said the decision to remove Macklemore was the promoter's, not his. Other opening acts later withdrew from the tour, and protesters gathered outside Sheeran's first show without Macklemore.
