Halit Ergenc and Meryem Uzerli, the Sultan Suleyman and Hurrem Sultan of "Magnificent Century," are back together on screen after 15 years, and the main poster of the new project "İmroz'da Bahar" known as "Spring in Imroz," is now out.
Directed by Ozcan Alper, the film is set on Imroz Island (Gokceada) and follows two people who each carry a past and hope to begin a new chapter in life. Their paths cross unexpectedly, their story asks whether love can be found again later in life.
The film, produced by Sky Pictures and Emre Oskay, will premiere on the digital platform Prime Video in Türkiye, followed by a cinema release for audiences in more than 50 countries.
Speaking to a media outlet, Ergenc reflected on reuniting on set with Meryem Uzerli 15 years after their landmark roles in the historic drama "Muhtesem Yuzyil" known as "Magnificent Century".
Ergenc highlighted their natural professional rapport, noting, "Meryem is very easy to work with," emphasizing how effortless and comfortable the entire filming process proved to be.
He further dismissed any notion of standard onset friction or awkwardness following their long hiatus, explaining that their shared history allowed them to hit the ground running without needing an adjustment period.
"We didn't need time to warm up to each other; we already know how we work," the actor remarked.
With Sky Films preparing for both a digital debut on Prime Video and an extensive international theatrical rollout, the project stands as one of the most anticipated Turkish film reunions in recent years, testing whether their timeless dynamic can translate into another worldwide hit.
