Alphan Eseli’s feature film "Mutter: The Diary of a Mother" is set to make its world premiere at the 2026 Tribeca Festival, placing the Turkish production on one of the international film industry’s most respected stages.
Written and directed by Alphan Eseli, the film will be introduced to audiences during the 25th edition of the festival, scheduled to run from June 3 to June 14, 2026, in New York.
The event is widely regarded as a key platform for global premieres, drawing filmmakers, producers and industry professionals from around the world.
The film stars Hazar Erguclu in the lead role, supported by a cast that includes Guven Kirac, Erdeniz Kurucan and Ulvi Kahyaoglu.
Production duties are handled by Alphan Eseli and Omer Atay, while cinematography is led by Ozkan Karakose. Editing is carried out by Mesut Ulutas, and sound design is developed by Herve Guyader and Cenker Kokten.
The original score is composed by Tristan Bechet, while concept design is created by Matt Hatton, whose previous work includes major international productions such as Alien: Covenant and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
Founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff, the Tribeca Festival was originally launched to help revive New York’s cultural life after the September 11 attacks.
