Netflix, the digital streaming platform, has launched a new program for creative industry professionals in Türkiye called "Next Story: Netflix Project Pitch Day," giving individuals working in the country who have not yet worked as a screenwriter, director or producer on a Netflix production the opportunity to present their projects.
Running over three years, the program invites eligible professionals to take part in a selection process ahead of the pitch event.
Participants will have the chance to pitch their original projects in person to a selection committee made up of Netflix Türkiye and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) content teams, at an event to be held in Istanbul later this year.
Following the pitch sessions, selected projects will move into development with Netflix's support, with creative teams working alongside Netflix specialists at every stage, particularly on scriptwriting.
The program is open to professionals over the age of 18 who have worked as a screenwriter, director or producer on at least one production that has previously been released to audiences.
Applicants must submit original fiction projects in the action, thriller, character-driven drama, comedy, or young adult genres. Projects must be written in Turkish, while presentation materials must be prepared in both Turkish and English.
Applications can be submitted between Sept. 8 and Oct. 6 through the official website of Netflix.
