Pakistan opened a photo exhibition in Istanbul on Tuesday, showcasing the life and political career of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, launching a public display that marks the 150th birth anniversary year of the country's founder.
Hosted at the historic Rami Library, the exhibition brings together photographs spanning Jinnah's rise in politics, his leadership during the movement that led to Pakistan's creation and the principles that shaped the country's early years.
The exhibition aims to introduce Turkish and international visitors to key moments in Jinnah's public life through a collection of rare historical photographs.
Speaking at the inauguration, Pakistan's ambassador to Türkiye, Yousaf Junaid, pointed to Jinnah's emphasis on constitutional rule, democratic institutions and political dialogue, arguing that those principles remain relevant decades after Pakistan's independence.
Junaid also referenced Jinnah's Aug. 11, 1947 address to Pakistan's Constituent Assembly and his well-known motto, "Unity, Faith, and Discipline," which continues to feature prominently in Pakistan's national narrative.
The event drew Turkish officials, diplomats, academics and members of the Pakistani community living in Türkiye.
Among those attending were Istanbul Deputy Governor Mehmet Sulun, Eyupsultan District Governor Arslan Yurt and Rami Library Director Ali Celik.
Sulun described Jinnah as a defining political figure of the 20th century and welcomed efforts to present his legacy to audiences beyond Pakistan. Scholar Prof. Davut Shahbaz also addressed the gathering, highlighting Jinnah's role in constitutional politics and his vision for a democratic and inclusive state.
The exhibition is scheduled to remain open to the public, offering visitors a chance to explore archival images documenting one of South Asia's most influential political leaders.
