Renowned pianist and composer Fazil Say is set to meet audiences across Türkiye this summer with his new jazz project, “Say Plays Jazz on Tour with Skoda.”
The tour is organized in collaboration with Skoda and Pozitif Muzik and will feature performances in seven cities, totaling ten concerts.
The project marks a new artistic direction for Say, who is known internationally for his classical music career.
In this initiative, he brings together his classical interpretation style with the improvisational structure of jazz, presenting a continuous concert format lasting approximately 75–80 minutes.
Say will be accompanied on stage by the Fazil Say Jazz Quintet, featuring vocalist Ezgi Alas, flutist Aslihan And Say, saxophonist Serdar Barcin and drummer Ferit Odman.
According to the project description, the repertoire consists of original compositions that integrate jazz idioms with contemporary thematic concerns.
The works are reported to address issues such as environmental degradation, animal welfare—particularly the protection of stray animals and broader humanistic themes reflecting modern social conditions.
The concert series will begin on July 19 in Ayvalik and continue through several prominent cultural venues in Türkiye. The schedule is as follows:
