German rock band Scorpions performed in Istanbul as part of their "Coming Home—60 Years of Scorpions," marking the group’s 60th anniversary with a concert at Tupras Stadium in Besiktas.
The concert, organized by BKM, brought together rock fans from different parts of Türkiye and abroad.
The concert marked Scorpions’ first performance at the same stadium since 1993, bringing the band back to Istanbul after a 33-year break.
Opening the night, lead singer Klaus Meine said the band was happy to be back in the city and noted that the concert was part of the Scorpions’ 60th anniversary celebrations.
"This is beautiful to be back in this city. It has been quite a while. As you know, tonight we are celebrating 60 years of Scorpions. Now we are going to take you on a journey through the years, back to the early 1970s, when we were a young band just starting out, traveling all over Europe in our beat-up van. Back then, we dreamed of one day being on a stage just like this," Meine said.
Scorpions opened the concert with "Coming Home," a song released in 1984, before moving through a setlist that included some of the band’s best-known tracks.
The group performed classics including "Steamrock Fever," "Wind of Change," "Still Loving You," "Rock You Like a Hurricane," and "No One Like You," drawing attention with its wide-ranging repertoire and stage performance.
The Istanbul stop formed part of the band’s world tour celebrating six decades of Scorpions, one of Germany’s best-known rock groups.
