Production on ''The Batman: Part II'' is officially underway across London, as director Matt Reeves and star Robert Pattinson return to the United Kingdom to film the highly anticipated DC sequel.
The movie, which has faced several delays since it was first announced in 2022, is now moving forward with principal photography in the U.K., with production based at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden and additional filming taking place in locations including London and Liverpool.
Robert Pattinson will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman, while Matt Reeves returns as director and co-writer. The film is currently scheduled for release on Feb. 18, 2028, after Warner Bros. moved it from its previously announced 2027 date.
Several fan-recorded clips from the London shoot surfaced online on Sept. 13, offering a brief glimpse of Pattinson as Bruce Wayne.
The footage appears to show Wayne being escorted by police through a crowd gathered outside a large classical-style building, with protesters surrounding the area.
The scene has quickly drawn attention online, although the leaked material does not provide enough information to establish the context of the sequence or reveal its significance to the plot.
Robert Pattinson kicked off a busy run of releases starring in Bong Joon-ho’s dark sci-fi comedy "Mickey 17."
His recent projects also include the A24 black comedy "The Drama" alongside Zendaya, and starring in Christopher Nolan's epic ''The Odyssey.''
Continuously expanding his range, Pattinson is also set to feature in Denis Villeneuve's ''Dune: Part Three'' while currently filming his return to the superhero genre in ''The Batman: Part II.''
