Turkish composer Toygar Isikli and pianist-composer Busra Kayikci have been accepted as voting members of the Recording Academy, the organization behind the Grammy Awards.
Their new status gives both musicians voting rights in the Grammy nomination and final award processes, allowing them to take part in selecting works and artists across the music industry.

Founded in 1957, the Recording Academy organizes the annual Grammy Awards and brings together professionals from different areas of the international music industry.
Voting Members evaluate the artistic and technical qualities of eligible works and play a direct role in determining Grammy nominees and winners. Membership is granted to professionals based on criteria including career achievements and industry experience.
The position can also open the way for members to take part in committees and working groups focused on developments across the international music industry.
Toygar Isikli is widely known for composing music for film, television and drama productions, including "Ezel," "Karadayi," "Muhtesem Yuzyil," "Cukur," "Icerde" and "Kara Sevda."
Having received numerous national and international awards, Isikli has also continued to take on projects outside Türkiye in recent years.
Busra Kayikci, meanwhile, moved into a professional music career after studying architecture and has become known for a minimalist approach that brings classical and contemporary music together.
She has performed in several European cities, while her albums and original compositions have helped her build up an international audience.
