Turkish girl group Manifest will play its first British concert at OVO Arena Wembley on Oct. 16, capping a rapid rise for a group formed less than two years ago.
The six-member group performed at a boat party in London on Sept. 24 to promote "Tralala," its first song in English, due out Oct. 9.
Member Hilal Yelekci said the song showcases the group's distinct voices and that she hopes it leads listeners to the group's other music. Pointing to artists such as Rosalia and Bad Bunny, who have taken music in their own languages to audiences worldwide.
"Maybe people around the world can sing Turkish songs too," said Yelekci.
Member Lidya Pinar commented, recalling how she reacted when she learned the group would play in the U.K.
"I probably cried, and then I started dancing. I was dancing and crying at the same time," she said, expressing her feelings.
Manifest spoke to the British press ahead of their upcoming performance, expressing pride in bringing their music to an international audience.
"We’re excited because we are representing our country here," the group said during the media briefing, highlighting the cultural identity embedded in their work.
"We take pride in reflecting our Turkish identity through our music," Zeynep Oktay said, pointing out that showcasing their roots on an international stage gives the performance deeper meaning beyond the venue itself.
Formed in 2025 through the music competition Big5 Türkiye, Manifes, comprising Esin Bahat, Hilal Yelekci, Lidya Pinar, Sueda Uluca, Mina Solak, and Zeynep Sude Oktay, rapidly rose to fame in Türkiye.
Building on their domestic success, the six-member group soon expanded to international stages, notably performing at Kosovo’s Sunny Hill Festival, co-founded by pop superstar Dua Lipa, with whom the band also met backstage.
