Türkiye will take part in the Baku Cinema Breeze 2025 Film Festival as the guest country, according to a statement from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The event is organized by the Azerbaijan Cinema Agency and the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan. With the ministry’s support, several Turkish films will hold gala screenings and public showings during the festival.

This year’s edition will host 30 countries and more than 50 local and international films. The festival will run from December 5 to 11 under the theme “Under the wave of stories, technologies and culture.”

As the guest country, Türkiye will participate in gala events, film screenings and industry meetings.

Director Mehmet Ali Ergin’s film “Bugun Guzel" (Today is Beautiful), starring Oguzhan Koc and Ayca Aysin Turan, will make its world premiere at the festival ahead of its Türkiye release on December 12.

Sinem Kobal will attend the Azerbaijan gala of “Her Seyin Basi Merkur” (Mercury: The Beginning of Everything), directed by Ali Balci.

The program will also include screenings of “Bir Cumhuriyet Sarkisi” (A Republic Song), the animated feature “Kral Sakir: Dunyalar Karisti” (King Shakir: Worlds Mixed Up) and “Ibi: Uzay Gorevi” (Ibi: Space Mission).

Industry events will take place on December 8 and 9 during the Eastern Countries Film Market. Turkish film professionals will attend special screenings, meetings and a formal panel focused on co-productions.

Representatives from Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Italy, as well as other participating countries, will join the panel alongside Türkiye.

The festival will conclude on December 11.
