The Copyright Association (THD) will hold the sixth Copyright Symposium in Istanbul on November 27 and 28, this year centered on the theme "Artificial Intelligence and Copyright."
The event is organized with contributions from Türkiye's Ministry of Culture in cooperation with Dogus University, and will take place on the university's Cengelkoy campus in Istanbul.
According to a statement from the association, the symposium will bring together academics, lawyers and figures from the art world to discuss how AI technologies are affecting copyright and the legal processes they have created.
Researchers wishing to present papers may submit short abstracts by email to the organizing committee by Sept. 25. Accepted papers will be announced on Oct. 16, with full submissions due by Nov. 6.
Industry representatives and other interested parties who wish to attend as listeners can apply through telifhaklarisempozyumu.org.
The symposium has previously addressed themes including "Copyright in the Digital Sphere," "Copyright in the Music Industry" and "Copyright in the Film Industry."
Papers presented at the event are compiled into a book following each symposium.
