Questions over Travis Scott's recent appearances in Türkiye have moved beyond social media debate after an Istanbul attendee filed a criminal complaint, claiming that the event did not live up to expectations.

Adding to the speculation, Scott was reportedly seen in Paris just hours before the Istanbul event. According to claims shared online, he arrived on stage about one hour late and performed for only 18 minutes, drawing criticism from attendees who had expected a longer appearance. His decision not to show his face during the performance also fueled social media comments questioning whether the person on stage was really him, with some users bringing up the phrase "Fake Travis."

The controversy centered on reports that the U.S. rapper stayed on stage for around 18 minutes in Istanbul, while similar claims later came up around his appearance in Izmir. Organizers, however, pushed back against the criticism, saying the Istanbul event had not been planned as a standard concert but as a special experience night under a "Hosted by Travis Scott" concept.

Istanbul appearance turns into legal dispute

According to journalist Emrullah Erdinc, a citizen went to the Istanbul Courthouse in Caglayan and filed a complaint with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, alleging fraud over the organization.

The complaint reportedly focused on the claim that the event fell short of what attendees expected, particularly because Travis Scott was said to have remained on stage for only about 20 minutes.

The discussion quickly spread online, with some attendees questioning the format of the night and asking whether the performance matched the way the event had been presented to the public.

Organizer says event was not a traditional concert

Following the criticism, Taylan Ozcan, founder of the organizing company, issued a statement explaining that the event had not been designed as a classic concert.

Ozcan said the night had been built around the idea of Travis Scott sharing the same atmosphere with his fans, rather than delivering a full-length concert performance. According to the organizer, ticket buyers had been informed that the event was not a concert but a "Hosted by Travis Scott" experience.

The company also said Scott was present at the venue throughout the night, hosted the event for around one hour and then gave a live performance lasting about 20 minutes.

Izmir event adds to public attention

As the debate over the Istanbul event continued, Travis Scott's appearance in Izmir also drew attention.

According to reports, similar scenes were witnessed at the event held at Kalt Club, where some attendees said the performance again lasted around 20 minutes. Claims also emerged that flash photography was not allowed during the event.

The rapper's covered face during parts of the appearances, his limited interaction with the audience and the short duration of the performances became key points of discussion among concertgoers and social media users.

Travis Scott says he came for private occasion

Amid the controversy, Travis Scott shared a message for his fans in Türkiye on social media.

He said he had come to Istanbul for a friend's special day and added that he wanted to give a larger concert in Türkiye in the future.
