Türkiye's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) reported that a 3.8 magnitude earthquake hit Istanbul's Silivri district.
The tremor was felt across much of Istanbul, causing brief concern among residents.
According to information on the website of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), a 3.8 magnitude earthquake was recorded with its epicenter in the Marmara Sea.
The quake, located 20.66 kilometers from Istanbul's Buyukcekmece district, occurred at a depth of 6.84 kilometers.
There have been no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
Shortly after the tremor in Istanbul, another earthquake struck off the coast of Canakkale. According to AFAD and Kandilli Observatory data, a 3.3 magnitude quake occurred off Bozcaada in the Aegean Sea.
The earthquake, which was felt in neighboring provinces, took place at a depth of 10.31 kilometers.
