The 18th Snowman Winter Festival brought life and color to Ayder Plateau, where snow-covered landscapes set the perfect scene for culture, music and winter fun in Camlihemsin, Rize.
Large horon circles formed on the snow as participants danced hand in hand to the rhythmic sounds of tulum (bagpipe) and kemence, blending Black Sea traditions with the magic of winter.
Others preferred simple fun, sliding down the snow with plastic bags and sharing cheerful moments on Ayder’s slopes.
Local musicians performed at different times during the festival, offering visitors an enjoyable musical experience.
As part of the festival, a tea-themed snow sculpture was built on the festival grounds, drawing attention from visitors.
Officials expressed their happiness at seeing the festival grow larger and more crowded each year, with the 18th edition reflecting its increasing popularity.
