4.4 magnitude earthquake hits Türkiye’s Aegean coast near Bodrum

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 struck off the coast of Datca province in Türkiye’s Mugla city near tourism hub Bodrum, according to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).

Earlier on Wednesday morning, two smaller tremors were recorded in the country’s western regions. At 6:05 a.m., a 3.5 magnitude earthquake was reported in Simav, a district in Kutahya province, at a depth of 11.83 kilometers (6.20 miles).
Shortly after, at 6:39 a.m., a 3.8 magnitude quake struck the Marmaris district of Mugla province, with a depth measured at 9.98 kilometers.
