TEKNOFEST Southeast, a regional edition of Türkiye's Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, is being held at Sanliurfa GAP Airport, where visitors can tour stands and see aircraft, drones and other defense technology on display.
Among the thousands of people who have visited the festival grounds, 73-year-old Ismail Bakadur drew particular attention by attending in the traditional clothing of his region.
Bakadur spent part of his visit chatting with students and other visitors, who stopped to talk with him as he made his way through the festival area.
While touring the stands, he examined the HURKUS, ANKA, Bayraktar TB2, Bayraktar TB3 and Bayraktar AKINCI, as well as the ATAK helicopters, all of which are on display as part of the event.
Speaking to a reporter from Anadolu Agency, Bakadur said he liked the technological products exhibited at the festival and described defense industry products developed with domestic and national resources as important.
He thanked those involved in organizing the event, recommended that young people attend and said he could not name a favorite because he liked everything, while the festival continues with various activities until Oct. 4.
