Türkiye's Mediterranean resort city of Antalya broke its all-time daily visitor record on Saturday, July 26, when 104,359 foreign tourists entered the destination in a single day, Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced.

Ersoy disclosed the milestone figures in a social media statement, highlighting the unprecedented influx that underscores Türkiye's growing appeal as a global tourism destination.

"Antalya once again made history. This time, by breaking the all-time highest daily entry record. On Saturday, July 26, with 104,359 foreign visitors, Antalya achieved its highest daily entry to date," Ersoy said.

Tourism numbers reach 8.5 million visitors in 2025

The record-breaking day represents part of a broader surge in tourism to the region. Ersoy noted that July alone brought nearly 2.3 million visitors to Antalya before the month concluded. Since the beginning of 2025, the destination has hosted more than 8.5 million foreign guests.

The record-breaking day represents a significant achievement for Türkiye's tourism sector, which has been working to recover and expand its international market share.

Antalya, known for its Mediterranean coastline and historical sites, serves as one of Türkiye's primary tourism gateways.

Minister credits strategic investments and partnerships

Ersoy characterized Antalya as having evolved beyond a simple vacation destination, describing it as "a leading actor playing for a championship in the global tourism league."

He attributed the city's success to its natural beauty, historical significance, cultural richness, hospitality, and superior service quality.

The minister emphasized that such records result from deliberate policy decisions rather than coincidence.

"Of course, these records are not coincidental but a result of our determined investments, correct policies, and strong cooperation with our private sector," Ersoy stated.

Tourism workers, industry partners receive recognition

Ersoy extended appreciation to the various stakeholders contributing to the tourism sector's success, acknowledging both public and private sector contributions.

"I extend my heartfelt thanks to our workers who welcome our guests with smiles in our hotels, to all our tourism employees from guides to drivers, from travel agents to tour operators, to our public institutions that manage the process with dedication, and to our sector representatives," Ersoy stated.

"We succeeded together. The Century of Türkiye will also be the century of tourism."
