Snowfall has reached the higher elevations of Erzurum and Ardahan, two provinces in eastern and northeastern Türkiye, covering mountain landscapes in white.
In the city center of Erzurum, an evening downpour gave way to snow as the precipitation moved to higher ground.
On Mount Palandoken, a ski destination near Erzurum, the upper slopes of the resort were blanketed in white by the snowfall.
Fog also set in at times at the higher elevations of the mountain, appearing alongside the snow that covered the upper slopes of the resort.
The same weather system brought rain to the lower parts of the city and snow to the heights, showing how conditions changed with altitude across the area.
Further north, snow also fell in the higher elevations of Ardahan, a province in the northeastern part of the country.
The snowfall extended to the high-altitude regions between Ardahan and Artvin, a neighboring province, where the landscape was covered in a blanket of snow.
Together, the snow on the ski slopes of Palandoken and the white cover over the highlands between Ardahan and Artvin marked a clear change in the mountain scenery of the region.
