Turkish actor Kivanc Tatlitug has shut down his Instagram account, which had around 5 million followers, after becoming more active on the social media platform in recent months.
No reason has been given for the decision, leaving the circumstances behind the account's closure unclear.
Tatlitug had recently been using Instagram more frequently before closing down the account. The move drew attention because of the size of his following, which had reached approximately 5 million users.
The actor has not disclosed why he decided to leave the platform.
Tatlitug had also drawn attention on social media in recent weeks after appearing in a widely discussed video with Zayn Sofuoglu.
Born in Adana on Oct. 27, 1983, Kivanc Tatlitug is a Turkish actor, model and former basketball player who has become one of Türkiye's most prominent television stars.
Before moving into acting, Tatlitug played basketball at youth level and later won both Best Model of Türkiye and Best Model of the World in 2002. His acting career took off with the television series "Gumus," before he went on to appear in widely known productions including "Menekse ile Halil, Ask-i Memnu, Kuzey Guney, Cesur ve Guzel, Carpisma and Aile."
He has also taken on film roles in productions such as "Kelebegin Ruyasi, Organize Isler: Sazan Sarmali, Asiklar Bayrami, Boga Boga and Istanbul Icin Son Cagri." International streaming audiences have also seen him as Arman in Netflix productions "Into the Night and Yakamoz S-245."
Tatlitug has received several acting honors during his career, including multiple Golden Butterfly Awards. He married stylist Basak Dizer in Paris in 2016, and the couple welcomed their son, Kurt Efe, in April 2022.
