The Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM) has issued a new weather forecast indicating widespread cloudy skies and significant rainfall across several regions of the country. According to the announcement, the northern, central and western provinces will experience partly to mostly cloudy conditions throughout the day.
Night and morning hours may bring fog and mist to the interior parts of the Aegean, Western Black Sea and Central Black Sea regions, leading to reduced visibility.
Temperatures are expected to decrease by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius in western and central regions, while remaining stable elsewhere. Winds will generally blow from southern directions, with northern winds affecting southeastern provinces at light to moderate strength.
MGM has issued a strong rain advisory for Antalya, Isparta, Duzce, Zonguldak and Bartin. Residents are urged to stay alert for potential flooding, water accumulation, and transportation disruptions.
In the Marmara region, Istanbul is expected to experience 15°C and intermittent showers, while Bursa is forecasted at 17°C with similar conditions.
The Aegean region will see mostly cloudy skies, with Inner Aegean provinces such as Afyonkarahisar and Denizli expecting rain.
In the Mediterranean, showers and thunderstorms will impact the Western Mediterranean and western Mersin, with locally strong rainfall expected in Antalya and Isparta.
