Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, have welcomed their third child and first daughter, born Aug. 3 in Lisbon, Portugal, the British royal family announced Tuesday.
This is Princess Eugenie's third child with her husband, Jack Brooksbank, following the births of her sons August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, who was born in 2021, and Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, who was born in 2023.
Both Princess Eugenie and the royal family posted a picture of the newborn to their official social media accounts.
"Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, born on Monday, 3rd August 2026, at 6.20pm, at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal. The baby was born weighing 6 pounds 9 ounces," the royal family's post read.
Princess Eugenie captioned the announcement, writing, "Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie."
The couple has not yet announced their daughter's name.
Princess Eugenie had a specific reason for welcoming her first daughter in Portugal rather than the United Kingdom. In 2022, Princess and her family moved to Portugal part-time for Jack Brooksbank’s career, following his transition from George Clooney’s tequila brand, Casamigos, to working with Clooney's real estate partner, Mike Meldman.
Speaking on the ''Table Manners'' podcast in 2023, the Princess called the location "the dream," sharing that she loves running everyday errands in workout clothes without drawing any public attention.
