The ski season has officially kicked off at Erciyes Ski Resort, one of the Türkiye's major winter tourism destinations. After snowfall and artificial snowmaking, the first slopes were opened to skiers and snowboarders.
Erciyes Ski Resort opened the 2025-2026 winter season following the completion of preparations across the mountain. The opening brought winter sports activity back to the resort.
In the early phase of the season, slopes with adequate snow coverage were made available to the public. The opened areas mainly serve beginner and intermediate skiers.
Chairlifts and cable car systems serving the open slopes started operating at the same time. Mechanical facilities passed safety and maintenance checks ahead of the season.
Artificial snow systems were used in areas with limited natural snowfall. The snowmaking helped create stable and skiable surfaces.
Skiers from Kayseri and nearby provinces visited Erciyes on the first days of the season. Activity on the slopes increased noticeably.
Erciyes offers slopes with different difficulty levels. Advanced runs remain closed for now, with work continuing depending on weather conditions.
With the season underway, hotels and local businesses around Erciyes have seen increased activity. The ski season is expected to last into spring if weather conditions allow.
